Baden Baden

 I already covered the train excitement so will summarize our Baden Baden exploration. Upon arrival in BB we locate the hotel and the plan is laundry.  Of course we shelve that plan and the weather is dry with some blue skies. Why do laundry?  There is always tomorrow and it is suppose to rain. So yes we opt for the challenge to have an early dinner, unpack and logistically figure out the laundry challenge that we know it will be

I want to take some time and talk about our room.  It is at Roomers hotel which is a Marriott hotel. Very sleek and modern. We have a small balcony with automatic shades. Enough outlets and the furniture is black lacquer with a low bed.  Large 8 foot high mirrors at least 4 including both sides of the bathroom door. The shower in open with glass flood to ceiling that can be viewed from bed or closed off with a mirror in case you wanted to see yourself in the shower.   There is a rain type shower head that can’t be turned off and a hand held nozzle. The soap and lotion is great and your skin doesn’t feel dry after using it. To get in the room you swipe your keycard over a red dot in the wall next to the door and just push the door open.  There is a knob inside the room that can be turned to alert housekeepers the room is vacant so can be made out or privacy.  Of course Dan is complaining not enough drawer space and it is inefficient.  I will try and post some photos. 

Dinner at and Italian restaurant that was amazing and across the street from the hotel. We walked about 2 blocks to get some snacks for breakfast since it is not included. 

Awoke to rain (expected). Get a bus pass and head to the laundromat. 4 stops and a 4 minute walk.  We actually found it with a minor glitch of coming across a dry cleaners about 5 stores before and starting to worry did I google the wrong thing.  Lo and behold it was the easiest laundromat to use. No glitches except as you can see by the photo perhaps I dropped in 2 laundry pods instead of one. Laundry was done in 1 hour amazing fast machines both was and dry. Google translate did help to decode some of the instructions but we could scan our credit card to pay and the machines actually worked.
